Triple Tiered Deck
Overview: The clients had three existing decks in their yard, with varying heights from ground level to over 12′ above grade. The structural integrity of the middle and top decks was still good, but the ground level deck had significant rot, which is common in ground-level decks due to moisture exposure. The clients wanted to renovate their space with high-end, low-maintenance materials.
Materials Used:
- Fiberon Sanctuary Decking in color Moringa
- White PVC Fascia and Riser boards
- Westbury Tuscany Railing
- In-lite Hyve22 black light
First: We removed the ground level deck and poured a new 35′ x 13′ stamped concrete patio, which addressed any future rot issues associated with decks close to the ground.
Second: The top tier deck, which was 36′ wide with two 45-degree angles, inspired us to wrap the deck with a double picture frame around the border and down the center. Additionally, we installed a new 9′ wide stair landing in the center of the middle deck, maintaining consistency with a double picture frame around the middle deck as well.
Challenge: One of the challenges we faced was covering all the pressure-treated material with PVC fascia and composite decking material. We concealed all the band boards and step risers with white PVC, and we constructed a wall from the middle deck up to the top deck, with horizontal decking installed on each side to match. This approach ensured that the framing material was not visible from either the ground or the deck, and it created a barrier to eliminate the need for unnecessary additional railing.
Ambiance: For added ambiance and safety at night, we installed In-lite Hyve 22 Fusion lights in all the step risers, providing both a stunning look and improved visibility after dark.

“Wes was great to work with and Eve actually was the one to design our driveway, walkway and patio. She did a marvelous job. I would highly recommend anyone looking to install pavers to check with Cleanstone. You will be very happy with the quality of work!”
